The Web Marketing Association yesterday launched the WebAward Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards, a new effort to honor excellence in online advertising and to recognize the individuals and
organizations responsible for the best in Internet marketing. The WebAward IAC is the first and only international industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online
advertising. The WebAward Internet Advertising Competition is open to all organizations and individuals (advertising and interactive agencies, corporate marketing departments, etc.) involved in the
process of developing Internet advertising. Entries may be submitted online at http://www.advertisingcompetition.org from January 29 through March 14, 2003 and will be judged on creativity,
innovation, impact, design, copywriting, and use of the medium. Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards will be presented within each of the 24 industry categories, and a Best of Show award will be
selected from among the Gold category winners. Ads eligible for entry in the competition must have run during the period from January 1, 2002 through March 28, 2003.
