It's been a while since I raced to see Kathy Ireland gracing the cover of a magazine, and the last time most likely was a Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition some decades ago, but I couldn't resist checking out this link when a publicist representing Kathy Ireland Worldwide sent me a pitch about her latest modeling gig: The cover of Forbes magazine.

Not sure if the folks at Forbes meant to time it with the release of SI's annual swimsuit edition, but there she is, gracing the cover of the Feb. 27th edition of Forbes, looking better than ever, though wearing considerably more fabric than I recall her past cover shots.

In fact, Ireland is posing in power mode -- arms crossed, staring at the reader with an oh-so-satisfied grin -- which makes complete sense when you read the mag's cover line: "Super Model/Super Mogul." And the kicker" "Kathy Ireland Outsells Martha Stewart - And She's Richer, Too. The Strange But True Triumph Of A Swimsuit Icon.

Honestly, she still looks good enough to be on SI's cover too.
