DoubleClick Alum Joins PointRoll

When it comes to rich media companies, people like Yahoo's head of sales Wenda Harris Millard, don't throw words like "company to watch" around easily. But when talking about PointRoll and their newest hire, that's exactly what she said.

Yesterday, commenting on PointRoll's announcement of appointing Christopher Saridakis to the position of Chief Operating Officer, Millard said, "PointRoll and Yahoo! already have such a solid relationship. But bringing Chris Saridakis aboard makes so much sense for both parties," she said. "They've gone from being a small player in rich media to being a preferred advertising technology partner for companies as large as ours. Having someone of his stature will add real value for them moving forward making PointRoll a company to watch."

Saridakis is known throughout the interactive advertising community as one of the founders of the technology division for industry giant DoubleClick, and as a veteran leader within the online interactive industry. Through 2002, he was Senior Vice President of Global TechSolutions for DoubleClick, the division responsible for the industry's leading global ad management system, DART. Saridakis was among the first people in the technology business at DoubleClick and was instrumental in growing the business from six to more than 2,000 clients and over $200mm in revenues.

Saridakis will work from PointRoll's Fort Washington Headquarters and report to company CEO Jules Gardner.

"PointRoll has had the right idea from the outset," Saridakis says, "and a very straightforward approach to a complicated problem for marketers and publishers. PointRoll's recent success is only the beginning. Their deals with industry leaders Yahoo!, MSN, and AOL, as well as the high retention rate PointRoll enjoys with major advertisers suggests that the buyers and sellers of media are pleased with PointRoll's performance."
