40% of Consumers Won't Open an Email With Irrelevant Subject Line: Silverpop

Most consumers regularly open emails from about 4-5 brands, according to a new report from IBM Silverpop. The “Best Friend Brands study” which includes feedback from about 4,000 consumers based in the U.S., the UK and Germany, also revealed that 58 percent of consumers won't open emails that don't serve their needs. In addition, the survey found that 40 percent of consumers won't open an email with an irrelevant subject line.
