Ted Cruz began airing a new ad in Iowa over the weekend. It aired on Saturday evening during what was expected to be one of the most viewed live events in the state before the Feb. 1 primary. Running first during the Big 10 Conference championship game, the ad will continue to air this week. The campaign expects it to hit almost every Iowa advertising market. In the ad, Cruz attempts to counter attacks from rivals that point to a Senate vote where he voted to limit intelligence-gathering capabilities. The spot focuses on the terror threat, where Cruz vows to “kill the terrorists.”
