REVOLVING DOOR: Ed Castillo Named Global CSO Of Arnold Worldwide

Arnold Worldwide tapped Ed Castillo as global chief strategy officer, a new position. Castillo will report to Arnold global president Pam Hamlin. Most recently chief strategy officer of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, Castillo played a key role in driving new business to the agency. In his last year there, he shepherded pitches with brands including GoDaddy (globally), Thomson Reuters (globally) and Travelers Insurance. Prior to TBWA\Chiat\Day, Castillo served as senior vice president, global strategy director at McCann Worldwide, where he led strategy on the brand reinvigoration of American Airlines, following Chapter 11 reorganization. Castillo first collaborated with Arnold Worldwide on the "truth" initiative, while serving as senior vice president, director of account planning at PHD. "Ed is an exciting and critical addition to Arnold's leadership team," said Hamlin. "What really impressed us about Ed is his multifaceted experience, including research, media and brand strategy. I am pleased to welcome him to Arnold, and know he will be a wonderful fit at the agency. Ed will play an important role in continuing to fuel Arnold's momentum."
