Nigerian Spammer Trips on Own Malware

A group of Nigerian spammers were able to bring in as much as $3 million a year by tricking consumers with spam email, that is until one of them accidentally infected his computer with malware. SecureWorks security experts Joe Stewart and James Bettke identified the group's "wire-wire" technique after they discovering a keylogger that was sending unsecured data to an open web server.
