Judge Requires White House Science Official to Preserve Emails in Lawsuit

A top White House official on science policy has been ordered by a federal judge to keep all of the emails from his private account as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit advances. U.S. District Court Judge Gladys Kessler is mandating that Office of Science and Technology Policy Director John Holdren place every email he sent and received from an account provided by his former employer, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, on a thumb drive.
