Data On 6 Million Verizon Customers Leaked Online

Data on 6 million Verizon customers was exposed due to human error – a misconfigured security setting on a cloud service. The information included names and some PIN codes. The leak was discovered by UpGuard, which attributed it to NICE Systems, an Israel-based company facilitating customer service calls for Verizon.  Verizon said there was no theft of customer data.
