House Committee Adds Stronger Email Privacy Language To Bill

The House Appropriations Committee unanimously agreed on Thursday night to make it more difficult for the government to access emails. The committee added language from the moribund Email Privacy Act to the 2018 appropriations bill. It would require a warrant, not simply  subpoena, to access email, texts and data stored in the cloud.
