Endeavor Business Media Continues Fast Acquisition Pace With 2 Deals Last Week

Endeavor Business Media, the Nashville, Tennessee-based multi-title publisher, announced two acquisitions last week, one of a brand covering the data-center market, and the other a purchase of two titles in the building-and-construction market.

In the first, Endeavor acquired Data Center Frontier, which tracks the future of data centers and cloud computing. The brand covers a range of topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, IoT and more.

In just four years, the company has grown quickly. In November, Endeavor acquired 3DX Media, and last month it bought ISE Magazine and an accompanying expo.

With a community of more than 450,000 data center and enterprise IT professionals, Data Center Frontier is one of the most recognized and trusted brands in the data center industry, Endeavor said in a press release.

Data Center Frontier Founder and Editor-in-Chief Rich Miller said Endeavor is well positioned for the convergence of digital infrastructure, with publications in the Advanced Technology Group targeting telecom, broadband, cabling, photonics and smart buildings.

Miller and DCF publisher Kevin Normandeau will continue in their roles. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In the other deal, Endeavor acquired BUILDINGS and Interior+sources from Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Stamats Communications. They’ll join Endeavor’s Buildings and Construction Group, aligning with complementary brands that include Contracting Business, Contractor, EC+M, HPAC Engineering, American School & University and others. In addition, the acquisition also includes outsourced sales operations for digital content, as well as attendee marketing, for the Building Owners and Managers Association.

"Both publications are leaders in their respective markets and will continue to serve their audiences with superior content and marketing solutions," said Vice President and Group Publisher Jack Brannigan, who will lead the brands at Endeavor.

Endeavor was formed in late 2017 to acquire and operate trade publications, websites, events, and marketing solutions. It operates in 19 verticals, including aviation, buildings and construction, commercial transportation, dental, design engineering and energy.
