DoubleClick's Performics reported Thursday that e-commerce sales for the Monday after Thanksgiving surged 39 percent from that same day last year. Performics also reported that sales on the day after
Thanksgiving soared by 33 percent, while sales for the second post-Thanksgiving Monday were up a whopping 35 percent. That estimate, however, is higher than some other post-Thanksgiving online retail
reports. comScore Networks, for example, estimated that sales for the Monday following Thanksgiving had increased 26 percent from 2004.
