The Washington Post has hired Michael Cadenhead as politics editor of Video, effective Monday. He joins the Post as the midterm elections and the next Presidential cycle are approaching, the paper notes.   

Previously, Cadenhead was a video producer on the breaking news desk at Politico. 

Prior to that, Cadenhead was the first video editor on Circa/Sinclair’s video desk, where he trained employees in video editing software and best practices. He produced and edited news videos that were distributed across the company’s 193 station websites. 

Earlier, Cadenhead served as creative services manager at WHUT (Howard University Television).
