Mother has promoted Jed Cohen to co-ECD alongside Simon Bruyn, providing leadership to various clients, including Sonic, Postmates and Peloton. Byruyn was upped in 2021.
Cohen, who joined the Los Angeles agency in March 2022 as creative director, reports to Joe Staples, Chief Content Officer of Mother in the U.S.
Originally from South Africa, Cohen joined Mother in March 2022 from TBWA\Media Arts Lab, working solely with Apple.
Before that, he was a creative director at 72andSunny, where he worked on Sonos, Call of Duty, Coors Light, ESPN, Carl’s Jr., and National Geographic.
“The very first job I ever interviewed for was at Mother. I didn’t get it. So I spent the rest of my career just being jealous of this company’s weird, perfect combination of creativity, entrepreneurship and values,” said Cohen. “Now I finally get to replace that jealousy with general stokedness for the opportunity to help lead Mother in LA.”
Mother in LA added five new clients in the past 15 months.
