IBM will release a new version of its business instant messaging program, Lotus Sametime, which will include new video and voice over IP functions, as well as connectivity with three major IM
players--Google, Yahoo!, and AOL. Lotus Sametime 7.5, the computer giant's instant messaging program, will be interoperable with Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, and AOL Instant Messenger--three of the
largest IM clients on the Web. The new version is expected to be available in mid-2006.
