Epsilon: A Quarter of Consumers Expect To Spend More This Holiday Season

A recent consumer survey by Epsilon found that nearly a quarter (24%) of those polled expect to spend more this holiday season than they did a year ago.

And 57% expect to spend about the same amount.

The top three expenses: gifts, holiday meals and entertaining and traveling to see family.

When thinking about types of gifts they’d like to purchase, 62% somewhat/strongly agree that they prefer to spend money on experiences that can be done together as a family or with friends versus giving more "stuff."
