Veteran technology journalist Brad Stone has been named editor of Bloomberg Businessweek.

Stone will lead the brand’s editorial strategy as it relaunches across digital platforms and as a monthly print magazine.

In addition, Stone also serves as the co-host of the annual Bloomberg Technology Summit.

Stone most recently led Bloomberg News’ global technology team of 80 reporters and editors covering high-tech companies, startups, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and tech trends.

“I’m thrilled to lead Bloomberg Businessweek into a new era,” says Stone. “At a time when attention spans have never been shorter and news cycles are measured in minutes, Businessweek is our counter-programming.”  

Stone adds: “It’s Bloomberg’s home for storytelling and analysis that force us to pause, and often challenge our understanding of the people, companies and technology remaking the world.”
