Jollibee, the Filipino fast food chain with more than 1,500 restaurants across 17 countries, has finally hit 100 stores in North America this week with the grand opening of its latest location in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

The chain is running various promotions throughout Canada this week, including deals on 6-piece Jolly Crispy Chicken Buckets and other popular menu items. Customers will also have a chance to win exclusive merchandise, including a Jollibee T-shirt and one year of free Jolly Crispy Chicken.

“Our devoted fans in North America are the reason we've been able to achieve this landmark milestone," said Maribeth Dela Cruz, president of Jollibee North America.

The chain is known for holding its own in the QSR chicken sandwich wars, with its version comprised of a fried chicken breast fillet, umami mayo and a brioche bun. Its peach mango pie, made with mangoes in crispy crust, has thousands of copycat fan recipes online, along with dozens of TikTok reaction videos.

The chain parent company, The Jollibee Group, recently launched its global sustainability agenda, "Joy for Tomorrow," which aims to strengthen the company's commitment to sustainable business practices, centered around the key pillars of food, people, and planet.
