Taking the reality competition format right to the heart of Hollywood, Mark Burnett, Steven Spielberg, and Fox will team up on a new version in which prospective filmmakers battle for a big-time
DreamWorks studio development deal. The new show, entitled "On The Lot," borrows from the popular "Project Greenlight," which debuted on HBO and moved to Bravo, but it will be shoe-horned into now
traditional reality show competition format airing two nights a week--first with a "performance" episode, followed by the results.
The first night will be called "Film Premiere,"
in which short films are screened by a studio audience and a panel of judges--a movie executive, a movie critic, and a guest judge. The show's viewers will also participate via phone-in votes.
The second night's episode, called "Box Office," will feature the results of the judging, and will utilize a typical reality show elimination round.
