Aflac, the Columbus, Ga.-based life and health insurer of talking duck fame, named Jeffrey M. Herbert senior vice president and chief marketing officer. In the newly created post, Herbert will lead
strategic marketing efforts, including national advertising, product development, and sponsorships. Most recently, Herbert held a similar role at Coca-Cola Co. He has also served in senior management
positions at Campbell Soup Co., Kraft General Foods, and marketing consultancy the Zyman Group.
