TVB has launched the Advertiser/Agency Resource Channel on its website, for advertisers in search of information about local broadcast television. “This represents a quantum leap in the resources we
offer to our customers,” said TVB President Chris Rohrs. The new website section represents a complete revamp of the existing area, undertaken under the leadership of TVB Executive Vice President Abby
Auerbach. The Channel is divided into three areas: Planning & Buying Local Broadcast TV, EDI: Enabling the Business Process, and Local Broadcast TV vs. Other Media. Said Ms. Auerbach, “The Channel is
rich with information useful to the junior buyer/planner as well as the senior media executive, including the basics of spot TV buying, market profiles, media planning strategies and the latest
research.” The section is a mix of the specific and general information, running the gamut from DMA-specific data on different advertiser categories to backgrounders on recency planning and local
people meters. “Spot meets today’s media performance requirements: flexibility, affordability, effectiveness, and accountability,” said Mr. Rohrs. “We’re hoping that the Channel will make it easier to
tap into the power of Spot Television.
