Kline Promoted At Starcom USA To Head Consumer Context Planning Practice

Starcom USA has appointed SVP Kathy Kline to head of its consumer context planning (CCP) practice, where she will guide the media agency's approach to gathering consumer insights that can be used in the creation of media campaigns.

Kline will report to Starcom USA President/Chief Strategy Officer Steven Buerger. Her new duties include ensuring that every employee is educated in the discovering and application of insights. She will work to advance CCP on the planning agenda of receptive clients, for the advancement of their businesses, and she will foster close partnerships with strategy, activation, and research counterparts, the company stated in a release.

Prior to joining Starcom, Kathy worked for 15 years as a brand planner in Leo Burnett's research department on brands including McDonald's, Allstate, Pillsbury, Heinz, Fruit of the Loom, American Girl and Disney.
