Vringo Unveils New Browser

  • February 10, 2009
Video ringtone provider Vringo has released version 2.0 of its mobile browser.

The New York-based company says the upgrade will make it easier to find and share video ringtones by providing thumbnail images and videos that run in higher resolution. The browser also includes the company's VringForward technology, which lets users choose the ringtones that friends see when they call.

Vringo 2.0 users can create personal call signatures with video, images and slide shows taken from the Web or elsewhere including the company's library of more than 4,000 video clips.

The company last month said its free video ringtone application is being pre-linked on global shipments of Sony Ericsson's Walkman phones and promoted via the manufacturer's fun and downloads portal.--Mark Walsh
