1Cast, which provides video news clips via smartphones and PCs, has extended its service to phones powered by Google's Android operating system.

The 1Cast application will be available though the Android Market, Google's mobile app store. T-Mobile USA, which sells the G1 phone, is expected to introduce more Android-powered devices this year.

Kirkland, Wash.-based 1Cast has partnered with broadcast and cable networks to offer video clips of the latest headlines in business, politics, sports, technology and entertainment. It also allows users to create personalized newscasts from among its mobile channels. 1Cast is already available for iPhone and iPod Touch users.--Mark Walsh
