First Media Communications, Inc. announced the formation of a new music marketing division that will concentrate on placing popular music into the advertising and promotional campaigns of Fortune 1000
companies. The company will serve as an intermediary between corporations looking for creative ways to utilize music in their marketing efforts, and record companies seeking expanded opportunities to
expose their artists to new consumer markets. The division will develop customized marketing campaigns centered around a variety of musical styles for its corporate and organizational clients. The
plan is to work with record labels, production companies, and music publishers, to produce targeted promotional campaigns that will highlight selected music via such items as exclusive branded CD
compilations and online digital downloads.
