  • July 28, 2003
The N, Noggin's nighttime programming for teens, will showcase some of its original programming Sunday nights in August on TEENick, Nickelodeon's tween programming block. Beginning Sunday, Aug. 3, The N will become part of the TEENick lineup from 8:30-9 p.m. and will culminate with a three-hour programming marathon between 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24. The shows include Degrassi: The Next Generation, Real Access in the N: Justin and Christina, Radio Free Roscoe and Girls V. Boys. Nickelodeon's TEENick Sunday night destination launched in March 2002 as part of the Nickelodeon channel lineup and in May 2003 relaunched as TEENick Live from the Hard Rock. It's a special two-and-a-half hour programming block kicking off at 6 p.m. and is designed specifically for the channel's tween viewership between the ages of 9 and 14. Live each week, celebrity hosts and tweens face off in messy challenges and intimate quizzes at the Los Angeles Hard Rock Café. It features live-action and animated Nickelodeon shows with tween appeal, programming content and an on-air graphics look exclusive to the block. It also includes a weekly countdown of viewers' top music video picks, music concerts and specials. Noggin/The N, owned by Nickelodeon and the MTV Networks, reaches 34 million households via cable, digital cable and satellite. It also offers a program block for preschoolers.
