GM Taps Ferguson For Global Brand Chief

General Motors Co has named Robert Ferguson global brand chief for Cadillac as the U.S. automaker plans its most extensive round of luxury product launches and upgrades, reports Reuters. He reports to CEO Dan Akerson. GM has designated Cadillac and Chevrolet as its two global brands. Ferguson, who joined GM in 2010, had been vice president for global public policy. Before that, he worked for Public Strategies.
