WaPo Releases Android Tablet App

The Washington Post on Tuesday rolled out its flagship news app for Android tablets as well as Kindle Fire HD and HDX device. Besides reporting and commentary, the app offers photo galleries, video clips, comic strips and a replica of the day’s newspaper users can flip through by swiping.

 

Launch sponsor for the app is Northrup Grumman, providing complimentary access for one month. Starting in November, the Post app for Android tablets will be included in the newspaper’s digital subscription package, which readers will be able to purchase through Google Play payment services.
