German Parliament Hacked Exposing 16M Online Passwords

German parliament members were the targets of a major data theft which left 16 million online identities exposed. The German Federal Office for Online Security (BSI) revealed news of the breach but failed to go into detail. The German magazine Der Spiegel reported that the attack was carried out by eastern European criminals.
