Twitter is facing a fresh lawsuit claiming that company fired a 57-year-old employee because of illegal age and medical bias. In the suit, the defendant’s “lawyers claims he was an
exemplary employee, saying he ‘saved [Twitter] over 10 million dollars in the expansions of [its] data centers,’” ValleyWag reports. Part of a bigger problem, according to
Gawker’s tech blog: “Silicon Valley fetishizes youth -- the 20-something, white, overworked male who will write code until his wrists tingle.”
