A day after ABC released its upscale dominance among just entertainment prime-time series for the first week of the season, CBS has chimed in with its upscale data totals -- which put it on top with all broadcast networks for overall TV prime-time.

CBS says for adults 18 years and older with $150,000 income or more, it tallies an average Nielsen NPower live-plus-same-day metric of a 4.1 average rating, a 17% gain versus a year ago -- the only network to show a gain in that category.

One major factor has been CBS' addition of “Thursday Night Football,” which is the second-best-rated show against $150,000 household incomes, adults 18 and older, with an 8.1 rating.

NBC continues to earn the best results for a single series with its “Sunday Night Football,” which has earned a 9.4 rating so far this season. NBC sits in second place to CBS at 3.7 overall for these upper-income homes, down 5% from a year ago.

ABC -- at a 2.9 rating -- is down 12%, according to CBS’ calculations via Nielsen. Fox is way behind at a 1.3 rating, off 32% so far from a year ago.

CBS also notes that three of its new shows beat all other network rookie efforts this year when it comes to upscale income homes -- “Scorpion” tallied a 7.0 rating, good for seventh place overall, tied with “NCIS.” “NCIS: New Orleans” is at a 5.5 rating, for eighth place. “Madam Secretary” comes in at 11th place, with a 5.3 rating.

Among new shows, ABC’s “black-ish” posted a strong 5.0, tied for 14th place with ABC’s “Scandal.”

Among just “entertainment” series, CBS’ “Big Bang Theory” scored the best -- at a 8.0 rating among those homes with $150,000 income or more. ABC’s “Modern Family” was second at a 7.5 rating.
