DEREK MEDINA has been promoted to vice president, news planning and business affairs, for
ABC News. Medina’s responsibilities will include negotiating talent, production and acquisition
agreements for ABC News and managing the business affairs budget. Medina joined ABC News in 1998 as the director of business affairs. In 2000 he was named executive director of business development,
his most recent position.
