McKinney New York hired Kerry Fitzmaurice as managing director. Fitzmaurice began her career working for the EPA in Washington, D.C., as a consultant to GE and working in the business consulting practice of Arthur Andersen. She then founded unlockPR, a public relations agency specializing in brand and communications strategy, celebrity relations and product placement. The agency was acquired by 72andSunny, where she became the director of earned media working on Activision, Target and Sonos. After that, Fitzmaurice joined Mother New York as director of new business and communications, where she helped secure the Burger King account. Most recently, she was chief marketing officer at KBS. "Kerry has built a successful business from the ground up," said Brad W. Brinegar, chairman and CEO of McKinney. "And she's driven and full of energy. These qualities made her our unanimous choice out of a very strong group of candidates."
