Facebook Works With Google For Push Notifications Through Chrome

Facebook has been working with Google to push content and notices to users through Google's Chrome browser. Alerts can inform Facebook users of important posts, but also send notifications driving them back to the social site. Facebook isn't the only platform integrating mobile Web push notifications. Google hopes other browser makers like Opera and Firefox will adopt similar technology.
