Mamba Ransomware Attacks Spread to Saudi Arabia And Brazil

Companies in Saudi Arabia and Brazil have been targeted by Mamba, a form of ransomware that hit the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency last year, according to research by Kaspersky Labs. After infecting 900 computers in that attack, Mamba demanded $73,000 to decrypt them. The ransomware encrypts hard drives, using a legitimate tool called DiskCryptor.
