With Toys R Us gone, toy sales are up for grabs, and Amazon wants them. The digital-first company was already beating Toys R Us in market share, according to
Wired. “And while it alone
was not responsible for the demise of Toys R Us—poor business decisions and its sizable debt were also to blame -- Amazon did put intense pressure on the toy store chain with extremely
low prices, especially during the past few holidays seasons.”
