NBC Gives Extra Dimension To An Extra Sensory, Offers 'Medium' In 3-D

Giving viewers some extra insight to its show, NBC's "Medium" will team with TV Guide magazine in offering a special "3-D" episode of the series on November 21.

Special 3-D glasses will be distributed in the November 21 issue of TV Guide--which comes out four days earlier on November 17. Both NBC and TV Guide will be doing a marketing campaign around the event, and a special guerrilla marketing effort to get glasses to consumers on the street.

Patricia Arquette stars as research medium Allison DuBois, who as a young wife and mother, struggles to make sense of her dreams and visions of dead people. Some of these visions help local law enforcement solve crimes.

"Medium" Executive Producer Glenn Gordon Caron has wanted to do a 3-D episode since he did "Moonlighting" some years back. He says the new 3-D "will enable viewers to fully experience this program."

In the 3-D episode, Patricia Arquette's character Allison believes her talent also adds another dimension to the way she experiences art. She encounters the disturbing work of one artist, and some three-dimensional images emerge to her. All this leads to that artist's deadly secret.
