Frierott will report to Meredith President-CEO Tom Harty.
As vice president-CFO, Frierott will be responsible for all of Meredith Corp.’s financial activities, such as accounting, financial planning, treasury, investor relations, internal audit and information technology.
Frierott’s role will also extend to strategic planning, business operations, mergers and acquisitions and debt-reduction strategies.
He brings 21 years of experience at GE, where he served as CFO for several of the company’s large business units for over a decade, including senior financial executive at GE Transportation, GE Power & Water and GE Energy. He also served in an executive role on GE’s Corporate Audit staff for eight years.
