Google is restructuring oversight of its messaging and communication apps as a single team led by Javier Soltero, VP and GM of G Suite, The Verge reports. “Soltero tells me that there are no
immediate plans to change or integrate any of Google’s apps, so don’t get your hopes up for that (yet),” The Verge’s Dieter Bohn writes. Soltero says: “We believe people
make choices around the products that they use for specific purposes.”
