Chanel's Dance Party Shows Off Kids Dressed As Lipsticks

Chanel serves up a gloriously silly spot for Mother’s Day featuring dancing lipsticks and bottles of nail polish and Chanel No. 5.

The ad features kids dressed as said items, scored to Deeee-Lite’s 1990 hit “Groove is in the Heart.” The effect is similar to Staples’ recent ad featuring the 1992 hit “I Saw the Sign,” by Ace of Base in that it will evoke nostalgia for some and introduce the tune to others.

The Chanel ad is a nice change of pace for the brand, which often releases videos of cruises and art shows. For Mother’s Day, the brand lets its hair down and shows its frivolous side.
