Amsterdam-based digital agency Dept has acquiredUS commerce agency Melon has for an undisclosed price.
Melon has 100+ employees and a client roster that includes Under Armour, Vineyard Vines, Nike, and Therabody. It’s offering includes strategy, design and implementation of commerce experiences, with a focus on the Salesforce ecosystem.
Melon has offices in Chicago and Atlanta, as well as a growing team in Argentina to work with clients in Latin America.
Dept was founded in 2015 and now has more than 3,500 people in seventeen countries including locations in Boston and Austin in the U.S. Estimated 2022 revenue is $500 million. It has worked with companies like Google, Philips, Patagonia, eBay, H&M and Twitch.
Melon will be known as Melon/Dept going forward and will continue to operate under the leadership of Ryan Nicholson, president and Carryn Quibell, CFO/COO.
