Stagwell has released the December edition of the Harvard CAPS / Harris Poll which found that most Americans (64%) think Twitter was engaging in political censorship during the 2020 election. 

One way it was doing that, per the poll, was “shadow banning” users (secretly preventing their posts and comments from being seen by other users). Sixty-four percent of those polled said they believed Twitter was engaging in the practice. 

The poll also found that just over 60% like Elon Musk and think he is trying to “clean up” Twitter. 

70% of voters, including strong majorities across the political spectrum, support new national laws protecting internet users from corporate censorship. 

Joe Biden’s approval rating remains steady at 42% and for the first time the poll shows Ron DeSantis defeating Biden in the 2024 presidential race. So would Trump, per the poll.

The good news: It’s still early! Trump may not even be eligible, depending on how various investigations go. 

Two-thirds of Americans think inflation is still increasing. Actually, it has continued to slow, through November for the fifth straight month.
