Crispy Chicken Tacos Return To Taco Bell

Taco Bell has brought back its Crispy Chicken Tacos for a limited time, in two varieties: Creamy Chipotle and Avocado Ranch.

The introduction comes as chicken remains a draw at fast-food restaurants (Burger King recently relaunched its BK Royal Crispy Chicken sandwiches).

Taco Bell Crispy Chicken Tacos cost $2.79 each, though prices vary depending on location. The tacos can be made Supreme with sour cream and diced tomatoes for $.90 or “Fresco,” with diced tomatoes replacing any sauces for free.

The chain originally introduced the item in 2021 under the name Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco. At the time, its fillings were served in a taco-shaped puffy bread. The new version replaces the bread with a soft tortilla.

Taco Bell also offers a Crispy Chicken Deluxe Box for $9.49, which includes one of either of the Crispy Chicken Tacos, any of four types of Chalupa Supreme, a 5-Layer Burrito, Nacho Cheese Sauce and Cinnamon Twists or Chips and Nacho Cheese Sauce.

In addition, Taco Bell fans can look forward to the return of the Beefy Crunch Burrito in early August, though the company hasn’t said exactly when that launch is coming yet.

On Twitter, Taco Bell fans were exuberant about the introduction, some comparing it to McDonald’s Grimace Shake launch.

Another Twitter user compared it to another McDonald’s item, writing “The Taco Bell crispy chicken taco tastes VERY similar to a McDonald’s snack wrap.”
