Grubhub Revamps Grubhub+ Loyalty Program


Delivery marketplace Grubhub, has recently revamped its paid loyalty program, Grubhub+.

The Chicago based company, which services more than 365,000 restaurant in over 4,000 U.S. cities, will continue to offer Grubhub+ members access to $0 delivery fees on eligible restaurant and convenience orders over $12. But Grubhub+ members are now able to earn an additional average monthly savings of 20%.

In the upcoming months, Grubhub+ will also roll out additional "milestone" awards for member special events such as anniversaries.

Grubhub+ has also partnered with Shell to participate in the Fuel Rewards program. Through the new partnership, Grubhub+ members will receive Gold Status in the program at Shell, which will save drivers five cents per gallon on fill-ups.

"We continually gather feedback from our diners, and they've told us they want more value, recognition and elevated service from their subscription programs," said Launika Raykar, vice president, loyalty, customer engagement and partnerships at Grubhub, in a release.

In addition to Shell, Grubhub works with a number of leading brands, including Amazon Prime, Bank of America and Lyft, to provide Grubhub+ members additional value to their membership like discounts on food and other perks.

Grubhub isn’t alone; according to The Wise Marketer, seven in 10 companies are planning on a loyalty plan revamp in 2023. According to a recent report by Research and Marketing, the loyalty market in United States is expected to grow by 12.3% this year to reach over $27.5 billion in 2023. The report also found that the loyalty market in United States will continue its upward trajectory and is expected to record a compounded annual growth rate of 11.7% during 2023-2027. The loyalty market in the U.S. is expected to rise from $24.5 billion in 2022 to reach over $42.8 billion by 2027.
