Hipwell Takes Reins At Adam&EveDDB As CEO

Miranda Hipwell was promoted to CEO, adam&eveDDB. She replaces Helen Andrews, appointed to the post in June, who left last month.

Previously, Hipwell was chief client officer at the London-based agency. She now reports to Tammy Einav, executive chair at adam&eveDDB.

The agency has no immediate plans to fill Hipwell's prior position.

Hipwell has been with adam&eveDDB for 12 years. She was made managing partner in 2017 and became group managing director in 2021. John Lewis, Mars and most recently Amazon are among the accounts she has overseen.

Before adam&eveDDB, Hipwell worked at Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett.

Einav credited Hipwell with being a "key part of the agency's success."

Adam&eveDDB is the result of the merger between Adam & Eve and DDB London in 2012. Agency clients include CALM, Amazon, Lloyds Banking Group, Marmite and PlayStation. It was the most awarded U.K. agency at Cannes Lions 2023.

Hipwell said: “There’s so much good here — the work, the people, our culture and clients. To create the right conditions for future growth in every aspect is an incredible opportunity.”

Chief Strategy Officer Martin Beverley and CFO Mark Watkins will report to Hipwell.
