Chipotle Launches Holiday Merch Celebrating Napkin Hoarders, Emerging Artists

Chipotle knows customers hoard their napkins (as they do in this TikTok video) Primarily made of recycled materials, the serviettes can even absorbing facial oil without disturbing make-up -- and even be sewn into a pair of cargo pants. And unlike pretty much every other fast casual/QSR outlet, Chipotle does not limit its napkins—they’re freely distributed in-store.

Knowing customers usually just stuff the branded napkins the in the glove box, Chipotle has created a better solution for the gifting season. The new Chipotle Car Napkin Holder, launched last week, is now available for $30 at www.chipotlegoods.com. The neutral color branded holder, which also contains a gift card for a Chipotle entrée, slides onto customers’ car visors, providing easier access than the glove compartment.

Chipotle has also launched a limited-edition T-shirt capsule collection consisting of four different designs by emerging artists like Small Talk Studio, a New York-based clothing brand known for its hand-drawn and embroidered garments. Each shirt, priced at $25, features Chipotle-inspired designs and is created from 100% organic cotton. The shirts are called “Mystery Tees,” since customers will not know which one they will receive until they unwrap their order.

"Through artist-designed Mystery Tees and the fan-inspired Car Napkin Holder, we've curated unique goods for our passionate community to celebrate their true fandom," said Chris Brandt, Chipotle chief brand officer, in a release.

Chipotle has also launched both physical and virtual holiday-themed gift cards.
