'Cleveland Magazine' Publisher Acquires 'Cleveland Scene'

Cleveland Scene has been acquired by Great Lakes Publishing, owner of Cleveland Magazine.

The publisher sees this as a strengthening of its commitment to prove high-quality local contact.

Terms were not disclosed.

“Cleveland Scene is long known for insightful reporting, arts and entertainment coverage, food news, unique events, and for breaking important local news stories,” says Lute Harmon Jr., president of Great Lakes Publishing. “This move aligns with our mission to provide compelling content that resonates with everyone in our local community.”

Harmon adds: "I'll welcome Cleveland Scene, while keeping it distinct and authentic.”

Led by Vince Grzegorek, editor in chief of Cleveland Scene, the magazine will reach over one million readers and online users a month.

Cleveland Magazine has been in this community for 52 years but in many ways, I feel we are just starting to scratch the surface of how we can better inform, serve, and listen,” says Denise Polverine, publisher of Cleveland Magazine.
