'Da Vinci' Spurs Movie Site Traffic

The mid-month release of "The Da Vinci Code" spurred visits to movie sites, according to new data by Nielsen//NetRatings. Rotten Tomatoes saw a 72 percent growth in traffic for the week ending May 21, with more than one in four visitors--26 percent--going to the review page for "Da Vinci." That same week, MovieTickets.com grew 64 percent, from 550,000 to 904,000 unique visitors, while Fandango grew to 1.6 million unique visitors, up from 1 million, and iFilm's audience surged to 964,000 from 672,000.
