Don't Count Us Out, a coalition of minority group leaders opposed to Nielsen's rollout of people meters in local TV markets, Tuesday issued a statement asserting that a Nielsen plan to "implement the
largest increases in its samples of African Americans and Hispanic Americans does not address efforts in its tracking of minority viewership." The coalition claimed Nielsen has yet to "undertake a
study to determine the cause of its systematic flaws in accurately tracking minority viewing." It was unclear Tuesday whether Nielsen had in fact announced any changes in its sampling.
