EveryScape Upgrades Virtual Search Platform

  • May 13, 2008
EveryScape has upgraded its virtual search platform, dubbed "The Real World Online," by adding more social features and improving the core search function.

The Burlingame, Calif.-based company currently offers 3D versions of U.S. cities like New York, San Francisco and Philadelphia (in addition to Beijing, China and Krakow, Poland) that let users tour streets and stores.

EveryScape has improved local and meta search within the platform, pulling in content from sites like YouTube, Yelp and Flickr. Meanwhile, users can now share their favorite locations with friends via email, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Businesses featured in an EveryScape city can now also upload videos, photos or links to related articles, and connect them to their virtual storefront. To help bulk up the number of storefronts and cities included in the platform, the company has launched an Ambassador program. Ambassadors are paid on a full or part-time basis and photograph and/or manage new business additions in each city (or country).
